Birthstones have been used for centuries to celebrate births.  Wearing crystals associated with your month of birth is thought to bring good luck and protection.
 
The first crystal shown for each month is generally accepted as the modern birthstone given for that month.  The other alternative stones shown are from Indian (Ayurvedic) and Tibetan origins.

You should still use your intuition when choosing a stone and if you do wish to wear a stone associated to your month of birth then choose the one from the list below that you feel most comfortable with.
