Tumblestone Sizing

How we size our tumblestones

Tumblestones are natural minerals which have been made into polished crystals.  They are placed into a large drum with grit or gravel to form smooth, polished stones which are more attractive, comfortable to hold and easy to use.

Even though tumblestones are, in a way manufactured, it is important to note that they are still natural materials and each stone is unique either in its shape, size, pattern or colouring.   Although these stones are smoothed and polished some may not be completely smooth all over and some will have lines, dimples, grooves or indentations.  Any characteristics such as these do not affect the healing properties of a crystal.

We handpick our crystals and endeavour to purchase the best quality tumblestones possible.  Before dispatching any crystals we do check for and reject any stones with faults such as unpolished stones or ones that are badly chipped.

As tumblestones come in various sizes we do specify in our online shop what size the stones are, i.e. small, medium or large.  The weights and measurements given are only approximate as these stones do vary in shape and some, such as haematite, have a higher density.
