Thumbstones are also known as “worry stones”.   They are a flat, oval shaped stone with a thumb sized indentation.  It is believed that rubbing the stone in times of stress will transfer the properties of the stone and any negative energy will be absorbed by it.   They can be easily carried in the pocket and are extremely comforting to hold at any time, especially during periods of stress and anxiety.
